There is a misconception in people’s minds that DU off-campus colleges are not good as North campus ones. However, all the Delhi University colleges are the same in offering education, infrastructure, societies, and more to students.

The fallacy starts from cutoffs. The top colleges such as Hindu College, Miranda House, LSR, Hansraj College demand a high percentage to get admission. Moreover, these are among the oldest Delhi University colleges and many famous personalities passed out from these which makes them more prominent. As a result, people ignore the existence of other colleges that are also rising and competitive.

Whether the college is on-campus or off-campus, life will be equally happening. Year by year, the quality of education, faculty, and infrastructure is improving. Therefore, it’s unfair to call them not worth studying in off-campus DU colleges.

There are several reasons every student should consider before running for streamlined colleges. In such a way, you don’t need to kill your dreams just because of a big name. After all, it’s all about the course or subjects you are choosing.

OFF-CAMPUS DU COLLEGES ALSO ANNOUNCE HIGH CUT-OFFS

This year, we see a great spike in the cut-off of not only north or south campus colleges but also in off-campus institutes. For instance, Deen Dayal Upadhyay College releases a 100 percent cutoff for Computer Science. Similarly, the BA program cut-off is quite high as compared to last year.

Moreover, Deshbandhu college also demands 97 percent to get admission into B. Com (Honors), Economics, and other BA program combinations.

Apart from judging colleges just by myths and irrational thoughts. Don’t let your priorities suffer. Candidates should not compromise their interests just for top-tier colleges.

POPULAR COURSES, BUT NOT FOR MEN IN DELHI UNIVERSITY

Many students take admission to the North campus because they think that’s a real Delhi University life. However, it is not true, there is no point in arguing if the student is happy with their selected course.

Every college has its pros and cons. Thus, we can’t ignore the good things about off-campus college. For decades, people have been used to hearing that only on-campus colleges are great in providing the best life. Consequently, it makes a person trust every myth and thing against off-campus.

However, there are some problems faced by off-campus students but can be easily handled.

  • These colleges get less crowd in the fest time due to location.
  • Trouble in finding PG or hostels near colleges.
  • Few hang-out places.
  • Less number of placements as the companies first go to the main campus.
