Delhi Government allows schools to open:

Delhi Schools have opened since October 2021. Hence, even small children are getting offline education from classes 1st to 12th. However, colleges students, i.e. DU students are still struggling with online classes. Thus, even though the college students are mostly above 18 and vaccinated, they are declined to go to colleges. So, there are no guidelines as to when will the university reopen for offline classes.

The plea of students:

DU students are pressing on the fact that the online classes are of no help. Hence, hundreds of off-station students who live in far-off remote areas have no access to good internet. So, they are really hoping for offline classes to start as they are not able to attend any single class.

Within 2 days, over 18,000 students have signed a petition at change.org under the name – Reopen DU. Also, on 7th December, the students were given assurance that a meeting for the reopening of colleges will be held. However, the DU VC is still making excuses that the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is not giving reopening orders.

DELHI UNIVERSITY RECRUITMENT PROCESS ENDS TODAY | APPLY SOON

Rakhi Srivastav, a DU student, has proposed that people can record a short video message to demand reopening. Hence, this is because not everyone can be available for physical protests. The only question is why Delhi schools are open, but not colleges.
