DTA (Delhi Teachers Association) has composed a committee of varsity professors which will guide pupils in seeking admission to DU.

The committee includes elderly professors, staff, and students of DU. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the council will solve the problems only through online mode.

The WhatsApp number through which students can ask admission related issues are- 8447712548, 9717208239, 8368849597, 9278671309, and 9717114595. Moreover, they can send the queries via email. 

Professor Hansraj Suman, Delhi Teachers Association (DTA) head, said, The various grievances during the admission process will be communicated by the Committee. It will comprise teachers, staff, and pupils associated with the university who have years of knowledge of guiding new students through the admission process in Delhi University.

Professors embodying teachers in the committee comprise Dr. Narendra Kumar Pandey, Dr. Asha Rani, Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, Dr. Rajesh Rao, Dr. Nagendra Singh.

The DTA has requested parents to complete the admission formalities of their children from their homes. The students have been informed to stay safe at their home. The process is entirely online in this session. If they experience any difficulty while filling up the admission entry forms they can ask clarification on the given numbers via phone or WhatsApp. Students are strictly notified to not visit the colleges or the university.

In case of essential documents, caste certificates or, any kind of errors during the admission process by the students, they must contact the college or university initially.

DTA Members’ advice

Committee member Ashu Vidhuri said that the admission procedure for undergraduate merit-based courses at Delhi University starts from October 12. An online helpline desk will accompany their admission-related queries. This helpline desk will also contain the varsity’s educators and staff.

Prof Suman of DTA said that a distinct grievance committee has been constituted in each college to look into the grievances of the Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Other Backward Classes (OBCs), PwD, and EWS candidates. This grievance committee comprises three members belonging to a specific college along with a liaison administrator appointed to resolve their issues.

Each college will exhibit the names, contact number, and email, address, etc of all members of the grievance committee on their college official website.
