A famous YouTube channel run by Abhyudaya and Gautami, Slayy Point, recently made a video showing the Indian comments section and that was the genesis of the Binod meme.
In their video, Abhyudaya and Gautami gave their audience a glimpse of the filthy comments section of the videos. A lot goes on in the comments’ world from penning out of context poetries to sharing numbers, many things.
In the now-viral video, one of the comments was by a certain person Binod Tharu who had simply written “BINOD” in the comments section. Probably, he was marking his territory. But now, the netizens have latched on to this comment by Binod, so much so, that it has become the top trend on the microblogging site Twitter.
The police departments of Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Nagpur have now joined the trend to disseminate information n the funniest possible way. Chuckle-evoking tweets have also been made by brands like Tinder and Paytm.

The Binod meme has got so popular that Slayy Point has gone ahead and changed its description on YouTube to “Founder of Binod”.
