Odisha Government will decide whether schools and colleges would reopen in the state in January 2021. The Secretary of the Higher Education Department passed a statement in regards to the decision of reopening of colleges.
But, Odisha Government said that this decision lies upto them. Education Ministry will not take any decision in this matter. The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik said that the government will decide when schools and colleges would reopen in the state.
The Education Ministry also announced the reopening of schools yesterday. But, their statement is denounced now.
They issued a statement and said that the Chief Minister has denounced the statement of reopening of schools and colleges. Lastly, this decision will be of the Odisha Government. They will take a decision are considering all the factors.
CM Patnaik held a review meeting and after the meeting, he issued this statement. He said that the government will take a decision after accessing all the factors related to the pandemic.
SR Dash is the School and Mass Education Minister. He passed a statement that schools will reopen in January. However, class 10 and 12 would be at the top of the priority list. Schools will operate on Saturday and Sunday to complete a minimum of 100 days working.
Saswat Mishra is the Secretary of the Higher Education Department of Odisha. He said that students in Colleges and Universities in Odisha will appear for their exams once the colleges will reopen. The government will postpone the exams.
Mishra wrote a letter to the Department on December 7. He asked the universities not to conduct exams until classes resume in physical mode.
