WHAT WILL BE THE DELHI UNIVERSITY ADMISSION PROCEDURE AFTER THE RELEASE OF CUTOFFS?
The Admission branch of Delhi University conducted its 5th webinar on 9th October 2020. UG merit-based admissions were the agenda of this webinar. Hence, all the issues related to the forthcoming online admissions 2020 was solved. The branch also explained how to check cutoffs. The webinar was streamed live on Facebook at – duadmissionbranch
HOW TO CHECK CUTOFF
Students need not come to any of DU colleges during the admission process the whole process is online. If you want to check your cutoff you have to follow some easy steps given below:-
Step 1: When DU will release its first cutoff students will have to visit the official site of Delhi University that is ug.du.ac.in Step 2: Then you need to login through your Email id Step 3: Now you will be able to see four categories i.e. Registration form, My Application, Cut-off, and bank details. When you will click on the registration form option you will be able to see all the details of yours that you have put during the registration process. Step 4: To check the cutoff list for different colleges and courses you have to click on the Cutoff option/tab. Step 5: Once you verified your cutoffs you have to click on “apply now”. Here you have to select your course and college where you want to take admission and then submit it. Step 6: A reference number will be given after submitting it. Step 7: Now the college will verify your documents Step 8: Once your document gets verified college will change your status with “Approved By Principal”. Step 9: Now you will be able to see the pay fee option. Click on it and pay the fees. Step 10: Once you pay the fees you will get admission to the particular college where you have applied.
FAQ’s REGARDING Delhi University ADMISSION
Ques 1: Will there be a calculator?
Ans: Yes, there will be a calculator to just give you an idea of how to calculate your best 4 or best 3 marks.
Ques 2: I was not able to upload my Class 12 mark sheet so what to do now?
Ans: you need not worry just follow the above steps in case any of your documents is missing college will give you id or address where you can upload it once again. But remember this is your last chance. You have to upload it within the given time (3 days).
Ques 3: Will this year cutoffs are going to be very high?
Ans: It can not be predicted. You will only get its answer once the cutoff will be released. For now, you can take a rough idea from the previous year’s cutoff list.
Ques 4: If your document didn’t get approved for some reason will there any fees deduction?
Ans: NO, there will not be any fees reduction in this case but there is a deduction.
Ques 5: If I take admission in 1st cutoff but till 5th cutoff, I decided not to take admission to Delhi University than will my fees will be refunded?
Ans: This is the rule of Delhi University that till the last date of the admission you can cancel your admission. All your fees get refunded except the cancelation fees Rs 1000.
Ques 6: we did not apply in the particular category but now we have the certificate we want to apply in the category?
Ans: once you selected the category then this can not be changed in any case. Modification in a category will not be allowed
Ques 7: Once we have taken admission into the cutoff of merit-based so can we shift it to entrance based?
Ans: yes, you can shift from one course to another course. And hence you can shift from merit-based to entrance based. But you have to pay the withdrawal cancellation fees.
Ques 8: My result has declared recently so I was not able to upload my mark sheet?
Ans: your academics update is still on. you can update your marks there and for mark sheet if you are from the CBSE board. For the CBSE board, Delhi University has a direct link to there result, so the college will be fetching there result directly from there. For other boards, the college has been asked to verify their result online in case college needs your mark sheet then you will be asked to upload separately.
Ques 9: Did we need to submit a transfer certificate or migration certificate now?
Ans: No, whenever the physical classes will start only at that time college can ask you to submit your transfer certificate or migration certificate, but you should keep ready all your such certificate as of now.
Ques 10: While taking admission to the BA program will there be any deduction?
Ans: This year there will not be any deduction in the BA program in any of Delhi university colleges. But it is only for the BA program not for any other honors courses there will be a deduction for other courses as mentioned in the bulletin.
