The COVID 19 cases have laid down the nation in a devastating condition. So, the Central Board of Secondary Education took some decisions. CBSE had canceled class 10th Board exams and postponed it for class 12th. This year also, the CBSE criteria would be the same.
Consequently, some other boards took the same decision for class 10th and 12th. The Indian Council of Secondary Education also canceled class 10th Board exams. Last year, CBSE marked class 10th students on some subjective criteria.
There are some changes in allocating numbers of CBSE board. The Board will allocate 30 percent marks for Competency-Based Questions. This kind of questions would include Multiple Choice Questions, Source-Based Integrated Questions, and other types. Objective-type questions would include 20 percent marks. Lastly, rest 50 percent marks would be taken from long or short answer questions.

CBSE CRITERIA FOR CLASS 11 AND 12
For class 11th and 12th, the Competency-Based Questions and Objective Type Questions would include 20 percent marks. Lastly, rest 60 percent marks would be for long or short answer questions.
CBSE CRITERIA TO ADOPT PRACTICES FROM NEP
CBSE has made relevant changes in the assessment and examination practices. So, the Board has requested all the schools to adopt NCERT learning. CBSE has written a letter to the principals for some recommendations. So, he said that schools should implement new practices from the National Education Policy 2020.
Biswajit Saha is the Director of Traning and Skill Development of CBSE. He said that nowadays online education is relevant. So, the method of assessment should not be traditional. It will create misinterpretation between students and teachers.
