Delhi University has completed the DU admission process for the first cut- off and the admission for the second cut-off is in operation. The varsity begins the DU admission process for the second cut-off on October 19, Monday and today is the last day to take admission under the second cut-off list.

Till now, more than 15,000 students have taken admission in Delhi University in the second cut-off list. Out of which, around 8,422 students have confirmed their admission.

SOME COLLEGES CLOSED DU ADMISSION FOR SOME COURSES

Delhi University released the second cut-off list for admission in under-graduation on Saturday. However, some colleges have closed the admission process for some courses as seats are not vacant. Moreover, there is a minor decline in the percentage of some courses that are required for DU admission.

DU ADMISSION NEW GUIDELINE FOR BIHAR BOARD STUDENTS

The varsity declared a new guideline for the students belonging to Bihar Board. Moreover, it raised more concerns for the affiliated college of Delhi University.

Delhi University sent a circular in which it stated that the Bihar Board takes Hindi paper of 50 marks and that would not be considered in the best four. Earlier, the varsity calculated marks on a pro-rata basis and admitted students for Hindi Honors.

SOME COLLEGES GRANTED DU ADMISSION ON PREVIOUS GUIDELINE

The convenor of one of the colleges of Delhi University said that Bihar Education Board gives 50 marks in English and Hindi. With the guideline, DU colleges are in a fix because some admissions granted in the first cut-off might have been approved as per the earlier guidelines.

ADMISSION PROCESS IN LSR COLLEGE

Lady Shri Ram College for Women of Delhi University released the first cut-off list with a 100 percent score for three courses. So, the courses are B.A. Honors Economics, Psychology, and B.A. Honors in Political Science. Now, seats are available for courses like B.A. Honors Economics and B.Com Honors.

DU ADMISSIONS: 4800 ASPIRANTS APPLIED UNDER 2nd CUTOFF

ADMISSIONS APPROVED AND WITHDRAWN

Ramanujan College of Delhi University approved 200 admissions and there were 50 withdrawals. Moreover, Aryabhatta College approved 190 admissions and there were 40 withdrawals. Also, Hindu College has granted admission to 994 students till now.

HALF SEATS LEFT VACANT FOR DU ADMISSION

Around 50 percent of seats are occupied in the Delhi University under the first cut-off list. Therefore, there are a total number of 70,000 seats for admission in under-graduation. Out of which, 35,000 seats are occupied.
