The New Session is likely to begin from 1st April 2021. Hence, most of the states including Delhi will begin classes. However, preparations are being made and the new normal schemes will be implemented soon. The covid-19 pandemic triggered circumstances need necessary safety protocols. With surging cases, such measures hold vital importance.
Here are the measures to be implemented in the new session:
Students ranging from classes 1 to 8 will not be allowed to attend schools. However, this is applicable for the beginning days of the new session until the situation gets better. Delhi government has strictly given orders not to reopen schools for primary students owing to the worsening pandemic situation.
Punjab, Gujrat, Himachal, Chandigarh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Puducherry have also made the same decision. Hence, like Delhi, these states will also not reopen schools for lower-class students. Although schools had been reopened in the previous month, they will now remain closed.
The notice circulated by Delhi schools for new session schemes:
All the well-known popular schools in Delhi have issued special circulars for parents. They include schools like Delhi Public School, Air Force Bal Bharati School, and others. As per the circular, all the schools will continue with online education. Hence, further studies in the new academic year will be completed at homes.
The Delhi government and the private school’s management were not able to give any precise time frame. Hence, the resumption of physical classes depends solely on covid-19 status.
Ashok Agrawal, the president of the All India Parents Association says, “Online education is compulsory as per the situation.” However, the school dropout rate has enormously increased after the lockdown and subsequent school closure. Hence, the estimate is around 20 percent. However, these parents consider school closure as the right decision.
