Students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. They asked the reason why the center is recommending the appointment of JNU Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar. However, he made every single attempt to destroy the University.

JNU UNION WROTE A LETTER ON BEHALF OF THE COMMUNITY

JNU Student’s Union wrote a letter and stated on behalf of the community why did the Government of India recommends the appointment of M Jagadesh Kumar as the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal University. Also, he left no stone turned to destroy the University that produced Nobel laureates.

JNU UNION ELECTIONS UPHELD BY HIGH COURT

In a letter, the Student’s Union said that they wrote a letter because he will be a part of the inauguration ceremony at the University. The union is the elected representative body of students of JNU. Delhi High Court held their elections in its verdict dated 17th September, 2019.

Also, the Student’s Union said, “It is a pity that the Vice-Chancellor that your government appointed fails to follow the same process of democracy and recognize us.”

For a few months, The Student’s Union is not in a good relationship with the Vice-Chancellor.
On the other hand, on 5th January, students, teachers, and alumni of Jawaharlal Nehru University called for the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor. However, a violent incident took place at the University and Kumar faced criticism.
