On Sunday, DUTA (Delhi University Teachers’ Association) wrote to the Vice-Chancellor demanding the reinstatement of all ad hoc teachers and the timely disbursement of salaries.

Prior to the start of the new academic session, DUTA has written the letter to V-C.

The teachers have also called for the immediate release of salaries for ad hoc teachers. The salaries of the ad hoc teachers have not been released since March. DUTA has also demanded the release of remuneration of NCWEB, SOL, and regular teachers that have not been paid.

ACADEMIC CALENDARS

The Union has also appealed that staggered academic calendars that are being prepared must not interfere with the teaching-learning process or the livelihoods of teachers, regarding the opening of the University.

The immediate recruitment of guest teachers to avoid loss of teaching time has also been called for by DUTA.

The Vice-Chancellor has also been appealed by the Union to convey to all the colleges that the physical presence of the teachers should not be demanded so as to declare institutions open. Also, all teachers should be considered to have joined duties after the end of summer vacation on August 10.
