The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) has released its annual schedule on its official website for the year 2021. The 2020 calendar determines the civil services exam schedule and dates of various exams to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
The UPSC schedule states that the UPSC civil services exam (prelims) will be conducted on 21st June 2021. According to the reports, the official notice for applying to various UPSC exams will be released by February 10. While the registration forms for applying to various examinations will be released by 2nd March 2020. According to the calendar released by UPSC, the primary exams for the year 2021 will begin from 17th September 2021. Also, the main exams will be administered for five days at specified dates.
For the year 2020, the UPSC civil services exam (mains) will be conducted on 8th, 9th, 10th, 16th, and 17th January 2021.
The calendar issued on the official website indicates that the dates and schedule of commencement and interval of exams are subjected to change. The notification issued on the website reads that the schedule released by UPSC for the civil services exam may change if the situation demands it. Therefore, the dates may change if the situation prevails the same.
The announcement of combined Geo-scientist preliminary exams 2021 will come out on 7th October 2020. So the Geo-Scientist Preliminary exam 2021 will be the first one of all the exams to be conducted on 21st Feb 2021.
UPSC Civil Services Exam to be conducted in June
The reports further claim that amid ongoing Covid-19 situation, various alterations in 2021 calender have been made. Usually, every year the prelims for UPSC civil services exams are conducted in the month of May or June. So for 2021, the commission has advanced the dates to late June. Even the prelims exams for the year 2020 were delayed because of the outbreak in the country. The exams will now be conducted on 4th October 2020.
