The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the details of holding the Indian Economic Service Examination,2020. All the details regarding Indian Economic Service Examination,2020 is uploaded on the official website UPSC.gov.in.

Students who want to apply for the UPSC IES exam can apply it online as the registrations are open till September 1. Students can apply for the UPSC IES exam on the website www.upsconline.nic.in. For the UPSC IES exam, students can withdraw their applications from September 8 to September 14, 2020, by 6 pm.

STEPS TO FILL IN THE REGISTRATION FORM

Those who want to apply for the UPSC IES exam, have to follow some steps.

  • Visit the official website of UPSC. The official website is upsc.gov.in.
  • On the homepage of the portal under the heading ‘what’s new’, click on ‘Exam notification: Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020.’
  • Click on the ‘click here’ link.
  • Click on ‘Part 1 Registration’ and fill in the basic details.
  • Click on ‘Part 2 Registration’. Make the payment, upload your photograph, signature, photo identity card document, select the exam center, and agree to declaration.
  • Click on the ‘agree’ button.

When candidates will complete their application process successfully, they will get an auto-generated email message on the email-id. If in case, they do not receive the confirmation, they have to check the submission of Part-2 of the application process. They have to ensure if the submission is made by them.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UPSC IES EXAM 2020

A contender for the Indian Economic Service must have attained a post-graduate degree in Applied Economics/ Econometrics/ Economics/ Business Economics from a University incorporated by of an Act of the Central or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government or State Legislature in India or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 every now and then.

AGE LIMIT OF THE CANDIDATES

The minimum age of the candidates must be 21 years and the candidates having the age of 30 years are not eligible i.e. the candidates have been born not sooner than second August 1990 and not later than first August 1999.

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 200 as examination fees. Female candidates and SC/ST/PWD category candidates are exempted from paying the fees.

PATTERN OF IES EXAM

The pattern of UPSC IES exam 2020 is
Part 1: Candidates have to appear for written exam of 1000 marks
Part 2: Candidates can be called by the government for Viva voice. It will be of 200 marks.

Candidates can apply for the UPSC IES exam 2020 till 1 September.
