On 24 September, the Union Public Service Commission, UPSC CSE result 2020 declared. In this third toughest exam in the world, Shubham Kumar has become the topper.

The UPSC topper Shubham Kumar is 24 years old and lives in Kadwa Prakhand, Bihar. He has done B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from IIT Mumbai. His father, Devanand Singh is the Bank manager in his village. Moreover, this is his third attempt at UPSC.

This year 761 candidates have qualified for the exam. Includes 216 women and 545 men. According to UPSC CSE result 2020, Jagriti Awasthi and Ankita Jain come at the second and third positions respectively. Jagriti Awasthi is from Bhopal and has done B. Tech (Electronics Engineering) whereas Ankita Jain is from Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, Riya Dabi, sister of IAS Tina Dabi has also passed the exam and ranked 15. Tina Dabi qualifies for civil services in 2015.

Every year the Union Public Service Commission conducts a Civil Service exam. According to reports, this exam is known as the third toughest exam around the world. Additionally, there are three levels in CSE, including- Prelims, Mains, and Interviews.

Moreover, through these exams, candidates are chosen for various positions or Indian services. For instance, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and so on.

Further, the Prelims were held on 4 October 2020. For which 10,40,060 candidates registered. However, only 4,82,770 have given the exam. Out of them, 10,564 candidates passed the Prelims.

Furthermore, UPSC Mains was in January 2021, and 2,053 aspirants got selected for interviews.
