The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Civil Services exam 2019 results. Pradeep Singh has emerged as the topper this year. He hails from Tewri village in Sonepat, Haryana. His father Sukhbir Singh happens to be a retired village Sarpanch.

Jatin Kishore has secured the second position. Pratibha Verma has attained the third position and is the topper amongst the women candidates.

The results are declared on the basis of the written part of the Civil Services examination, 2019, and personality test. The written examination was conducted in September the previous year, whereas the personality test was conducted from February-August, 2020.

Candidates can check their results on the official website of UPSC, i.e., at upsc.gov.in.

CAT 2020 OFFICIAL WEBSITE LAUNCHED, REGISTRATION STARTS FROM 5 August

Follow the steps to check the UPSC final results:-

1. Open the official website of UPSC, i.e., upsc.gov.in
2. Click on the link – Final Result: Civil Services Examination, 2019
3. On the directed page, click on the PDF.
4. Press Ctrl + F and look for your name on the list.
5. Download the result and take out a printout for additional reference.

According to the reports, the total number of qualified candidates this year is 829. A majority of 304 candidates are of the general category, 251 are from the OBC category, 129 are from the SC category and 67 are from the ST category. 78 candidates have been selected amongst the ones who had availed the EWS quota. It was implemented for the first time in the Civil Services Exam in 2019. The result of 11 candidates has been kept on hold.

UPSC ASPIRANTS CAN NOW CHANGE THEIR EXAM CENTRES IF REQUIRED.

The Civil Services Exam is been conducted every year by UPSC. The selected candidates are appointed to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Other Central Services.

The Civil Services Exam 2020 by UPSC was slated to be conducted on May 31. By keeping the current coronavirus crisis, UPSC has reslated the Civil Services Exam to October 4.
