1. Mecca, Hindu College
‘Mecca’ is one of the most popular fests of Delhi University. The three-day-long fest is starting from 8 March 2018 to 10 March 2018. A lot of events take place at Mecca such as dance and debate competition, Fashion show, Flash Cricket, Nukkad Natak and Experimental Design. Apart from this, Mecca is known for featuring concerts of famous celebrities. In recent years, students have witnessed live performances of Papon, Salim Sulaiman, DJ Funk and Anish Sood etc.
2. Crossroads, SRCC
‘Crossroad’ of Shri Ram College of Commerce which will be held on 16 March to 19 March 2018 is a must-attend fest of Delhi University. ‘Crossroads’ give opportunities to students to participate in the inter-college competition and show talents. Different events take place at crossroads which fill students’ day with fun and enjoyment.Popular celebrities invited at crossroads in recent years were Playback singer Shaan and Sukhwinder Singh, Bolivian folk musician Vlado Kreslin and Dualist Inquiry etc.
3. Renaissance, KMC
Kirori Mal College is organizing their annual cultural fest ‘Renaissance’ on 20,21,22 March 2018. This is one of most awaited fest of Delhi University. Students can participate in the variety of events ranging from literary and musical events to the contemporary fashion show and choreography competitions. Over the years, famous celebrities like Mikka, Jagjit Singh, Euphoria band etc.have performed for the renaissance. Renaissance will definitely give you hectic frenzy celebrations.
4. Tempest, Miranda House
‘Tempest’ of Miranda House owns a big number of crowd.The fest is scheduled to held on 20, 21,22 Feb 2018. A lot of amazing and entertaining events take place in Tempest. Some of the famous events are Street theater, a battle of bands, western dance, and the likes. In previous years, Students have enjoyed and danced on tunes of Jester, Five8, Groove adda and Arjit Singh etc.
5. Confluence, Hansraj
‘Confluence’ of Hansraj which is scheduled to behold on 3 March- 6 March 2018 is another one of the best fests that one must attend. A lot of musical and cultural events and competition take place in confluence. Confluence is one of the biggest stages for showcasing talents. Events like Choreography competitions, Street play and Northeastern cultural draw a lot of attention. The fest also includes star performance for bringing crowd to its feet. Last year, celebrities like Honey Singh and Daljit Doshanj etc. were invited for performances.
6. Ullas, KNC
‘Ullas’ of Kamla Nehru College also gives you two day of total fun. The atmosphere there is full of hustle bustle and enthralling competitions. A lot of musical and dance performances take place on major hits. Ullas is also known for the number of thrilling events like Nityakriti Choreography and LaVogue fashion show events. The day ends with performances of popular singers and bands that get audience geared up.
7. Nexus, SVC
Sri Venkateshwara College of DU is organizing their 3 days long annual cultural fest ‘Nexus’ on 22 February 2018. It is one of the biggest platforms to show creativity, art, and talent. Enthralling events like Battle of Bands and Razmattaz draw the major crowd. Every day ends up with some fascinating performance leaving students to get on their feet. Star night is one of the most awaited ones that gear up the whole fest. Last year, student enjoyed the live performance of Kailash Kher and other bands.
8. Reverie, Gargi College
‘Reverie’ is a three-day long extravagant fest having amazing fun events. Every year a large number of students attend Reverie. The usual dance and music competitions take away the breath of audience. Above all this, various celebrity, bands, and singers add glamour to the fest. This part of the fest is most awaited one. Reverie is simply a mixture thrilling events, amazing games, and stupefying performance.
9. Shruti, IPCW
‘Shruti’ of IP college for women which will be held on 21 Feb to 22 Feb 2018 should also be on your list of ‘must attend fest of 2018’. ‘Shruti’ is a combination of brilliant activities, different competitions. The dance and music society put the stage on fire with their performances. Students wait for their favorite stars to arrive at star night with their fingers crossed. Whoever comes definitely the audience is going to have an enjoyable night. Singers like Kailash Kher and band Euphoria have been the part of ‘Shruti’.
10. Tarang, LSR
‘Tarang’ of Lady Shri Ram College is going to be held on 2nd to 4th Feb 2108 which will provide you full entertainment including dance, music, photography, food, and whatnot at one place. The experience you get at ‘Tarang’ is unparalleled. There is a number of events you can participate and have fun. Apart from this, fest simply means grooving on live performances of celebrity singers and bands and ‘Tarang’ provide you that chance of tapping feet on different renditions.
