Permanent standing Markers to maintain Social Distancing

All the lanes and stores in  CP have special stickers implying the Social Distancing norms. Even the floors possess permanent marks, to remind the people about the  Two-  Metre gap which they have to keep.

Atul Bhargava, President, New Delhi Traders’ Association told about the various precautionary measures taken by the association. He asserted, ” Permanent Distance Markers have been enabled to encourage social distancing. Also,  we are following all the prescribed guidelines and sanitizing CP many times a day. Moreover, we are circulating SOPs in our groups.”

All the customers need to undergo the thermal screening process before entering the shops. Subsequently, a two-meter distance is made mandatory for all customers and staff.

Everyone has to wear a mask,  which is compulsory. Also, the boards are placed outside the shops, saying ‘no entry without masks’.

No overcrowding at stores

Some shops have restricted the number of individuals to enter. Senior Manager of Snow White store said, we have reopened our showroom, adhering to the guidelines. We also put a limit on the number of individuals entering the store. Under these criteria, we do not allow more than five customers on one floor at a time.

Kashika Verma, a shopper, says, I came to CP to buy headsets and I have to wait outside because they were not allowing all the customers to enter altogether.

Moreover, the shopkeepers are taking special care of the “try clothes” option.  The owner of Vintage,  Rahul Gupta said that most customers are satisfied only when they try the clothes, so we are allowing them. Whenever a customer touches a cloth, we put that in a different box,  the next day, we iron all these clothes. After that, we put them on the display shelf again.

Many shop owners are calling staff members in alternative batches to ensure safety.
