According to the recent announcement made, the University Grants Commission has extended the deadline for the submission of the M.Phil and PhD thesis until the end of December 2021.
The University Grants Commission has given the scholars the extension for submission of their thesis considering the larger interest of the research scholars. According to the information provided, the last date for students to submit the M.Phil and PhD thesis now is December 31, 2021.
As per the information provided on the official website of the University Grants Commission, considering the larger number of requests given by the students and also keeping in mind the interest of the research scholars, the last date for the submission of the M.Phil and PhD thesis has been extended to December 31, 2021. This extension will also be applicable to the students whose due date for submission of M.Phil/PhD theses is on or before December 31, 2021, the UGC notification further states.

As per reports, this is the third time that the IGC has extended the dates for the submission of the M.Phil, PhD thesis. As per the earlier updates, the deadline for the submission of M.Phil and PhD thesis was December 2020 which was further extended to June 30, 2021. With the recent notification, the scholars can now submit their thesis until December 31, 2021.
