Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, all the Universities and Colleges will remain closed. The academics are affected most this year due to the pandemic. However, It was decided in the meeting of other agreed University Grants Commission, Mangal Bhavan, under the chairmanship of Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank that the new academic session will start from November 2020-21 in Universities and Colleges across the country.

He further added that all the universities will have to continue their admission until the results of JEE Mains and NEET 2020 so that no student waste their year.

Open Book of Learning Schools will start from 15 August at Delhi University after the revised Guideline of University Grant Commission. The final year examination of Delhi University has been postponed for a month, till August., Earlier, the final year exams were decided to begin from July 10.

This decision of Delhi University has come a day after the rules given by UGC. The rule expresses that the University can decide on taking last semester exams through the online mode or the offline mode. Colleges can likewise go for a mixed configuration.

At first, the last semester exams were booked from July 1, yet they were delayed by 10 days. The exams were rescheduled from July 10 and now as per the UGC guidelines, they are further postponed.

States will have to change their decision, not to conduct final year exams. University Grant Commission has issued a treaty to take the exam on Monday till 30 September. As per the guidelines of the UGC examination of final year students is compulsory. Ministry of Human Resource has also sent information to all states.

In states such as Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Orissa, it has been announced not to do any kind of examination in the college of the university.

  1. Medical education is in worst ever situation . It’s being felt by students and parents both that no one bother for the health and carrier of MBBS students .

    • Rightly said friend..everywhere talks are only about general stream students at most engineering students but no where medicos are talked about. In the meantime WBUHS is holding exam for it’s candidates.

  2. Colleges and school’s are asking for the same fees !! How can they ask for the same?! government pls look into such issues. Business schools are together in this.
