Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah got infected with coronavirus on Sunday. He requested everyone who met him in the last few days to keep themselves isolated.
The cases of coronavirus are continuously increasing day by day. 17 lakh people are infected with the coronavirus. 1.5 lakh cases have increased in the past three days. 853 casualties are observed in the last 24 hours. The death rate is now 37,364. Out of around 17 lakh cases, 5,67,730 cases are currently active and 11,45,630 cases have been cured. After the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and his family, Amit Shah tested positive with coronavirus on Sunday.

CORONAVIRUS IS A ‘ONCE IN A CENTURY’ CRISES
Amit Shah is the Union Home Minister and the member of Lok Sabha. He said that his health is fine but he is admitted to the hospital on doctor’s advice. He tweeted and requested everyone who came in his contact in the last few days to isolate themselves and get their inquiry done. The World Health Organization called coronavirus pandemic as a once in a century health crisis. It said that it is a long duration and will remain a public health of emergency of international concern.

HIGHEST NUMBER OF CASES ARE OBSERVED IN JULY
The Director-General of WHO, who was quoted as telling panel Tedros Adhanom Ghenreyesus, said that the effects of coronavirus will be observed for decades. There are 18 million people infected all over the world including Amit Shah. Out of them, 6.48 lakh people have succumbed to coronavirus. There were certain restrictions released and many activities were resumed. Due to this, there were many cases observed in the month of July in India. More than 11 lakh people were infected with coronavirus in the month of July. This resulted in a double number of infected people before July. Approximately 35 thousand people were infected with coronavirus per day in the month of July. More than 50 thousand people got infected each day in the last three days.
EACH STATE OBSERVED DOUBLE NUMBER OF CASES
In the month of July, coronavirus cases in Arunachal Pradesh increased more than nine times and in Karnataka more than seven times. More than four times the number of infected people is observed in Bihar, Assam, and Kerala. There are a double number of cases in every state except Gujarat and Delhi. The number of 55 percent cases is observed in July and 89 percent cases are increased in Gujarat.
THE NUMBER OF TESTS ALSO INCREASED IN JULY
Besides releasing certain restrictions, the reason for an increase in the number of cases is the increase in the number of tests. Till June, 88 lakh tests are carried out in the country. In July, more than 1.05 crore tests were carried out. Daily, more than two lakh tests were increased in the month of July. More than 5 lakh tests were taken each day in the month of July. 6.42 lakh tests were highest carried out on Thursday. There are certain chances of further increasing the number of tests to over 10 lakhs per day.
