The National Testing Agency is going to conduct UGC NET 2021 on 6th October 2022. Candidates who want to apply for the same can go through the official website. However, the last date to apply for UGC NET 2021 is 5th September.
In December, NTA couldn’t conduct the exam because of the rise in coronavirus cases. So, the National Testing Agency will conduct UGC NET for December 2020 and October 2021 sessions together. The concerned authority took this decision to maintain the regularity of NET. NET is conducted for the candidates who want the post of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship, JRF, and Asst Professorship.

EXAMINATION PATTERN OF UGC NET 2021
The examination pattern for the same is:
- Firstly, UGC NET is conducted in computer-based mode.
- There will be two tests. Students will not get any break between both tests.
- Both the tests will include objective type and multiple-choice questions.
- The total duration of the exam is 3 hours. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are of 100 and 200 marks respectively.
- Negative marking is not implemented in UGC NET.
- Paper 1 will include 50 questions and Paper 2 will include 100 questions.
Later when UGC will release the answer key, students can raise their objections as well. However, the authority will accept objections on those questions only which students appeared in the exam.
SYLLABUS OF UGC NET 2021
Talking about the syllabus of UGC NET, Paper 1 is compulsory to attend and Paper 2 is subject-specific. Students can choose the subject of their choice for Paper 2.
