University Grant Commission has released a notification on its official website for the candidates who have qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET). As per the notification, the candidates who have cleared the UGC-NET exam held on December 18 and June 19 Or those who have qualified JRF under the UGC scheme but have not been able to complete the Master’s course due to the COVID-19 pandemic, such candidates will be given additional time to complete the course.
The announcement stated that the candidates who had qualified for the Joint CSIR UGC Test and the UGC NET on December 18, will be given extra time till June 30, 2022, to finish the Master’s course. Whereas, the candidates who have qualified for the examination in June 2019 will be given additional time till June 30, 2022. had qualified in, they will get additional time till 31 December 2022.
Apart from this, candidates who are currently pursuing a Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have completed their degree but their result has not been declared can appear for UGC NET 2021. For detailed information, candidates can check the notification on the official website.

Moreover, UGC NET is conducted twice a year. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the exam to be held in December 2020 was postponed. Then later this exam was held from 2 May 2021 to 17 May 2021.
