DU registrar Vikas Gupta said that the university will acknowledge orphan students. Both at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. “The seats will be assured for one boy and a girl. Students will be exempted from expending fees as well,’ said Gupta.

The university also notified EC members about the ground-up of the University of Delhi Foundation. It’s a not-for-profit company under Section 8 for fund-raising action, officials said. The university will initially have approved lakhs per annum for three years with a yearly increment of 5% for maintaining the basis. The university said that budgets will be paid for running the company as well as for administrative actions, comprising salary distribution.

EC associates Seema Das, as well as Rajpal Singh Pawar, enlisted their disagreement against the varsity’s judgment of producing the company.
Das said that the VC has summoned emergency authorities to accord authorization to the move. It was not brought up for conversation but was introduced as a reported item.

Gupta, regardless, said that the fuss was unnecessary. “We have constructed the company so that Delhi University course can acquire funds. This was done as per the prevailing government ideals. The company has been constructed in the larger stake of the university. There is no ulterior justification, said Gupta.
