The Kashmir Files has created history by passing over the Rs 100 crore mark. It reached this level in just seven days of its release. The Vivek Agnihotri film is breaking records day by day.

The Kashmir Files is based on the genocide of the Kashmiri Pandits in the year 1990. The Day 8 box office collection is at a similar level as Prabhas’s Baahubali 2.

The film’s collection has even passed over Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal’s Day 8 collection at the box office.

The Kashmir Files’ total box office collection now stands at around Rs 116.45 crore. The film reported its biggest single-day total on the 8th day of its release. As per trade analyst named Taran Adarsh’s recent tweet, The Kashmir Files’ Day 8 collection is at par with Baahubali 2.

He wrote on Twitter,

*Day 8* of #TKF collection 19.15 cr is at par with #Baahubali2  whose collection was 19.75 cr and HIGHER THAN #Dangal whose collection was 18.59 cr.

The two ICONIC HITS #TKF is presently in the august company of ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTERS [Week 2] Fri 19.15 cr. Total is around 116.45 cr. #India biz (sic).

ABOUT THE KASHMIR FILES

The movie depicts the true story of brutal sufferings endured by Kashmiri Pandits in the year 1990. It was during the Kashmir insurgency. It is a real story, based on video interviews of the first-generation sufferers. The sufferers are The Kashmir Genocide of the Kashmiri Pandit Community.
