The Delhi Government funds 28 DU colleges at the Delhi University. On 14th March 2021, the term of the governing body will be completed. The names of the members of the governing body are to be decided and send to the Delhi government.

If in any case, the list of members cannot be sent then the Vice-Chancellor of the Delhi University must write for extension of the government body. It can demand an extension of up to 3-4 months as the previous contract mentioning 28 DU colleges will expire on 14th March.

Ordinance X VIII says that the process to form a new government body must start three months in advance before the end of the governing body. The Delhi Teachers Association (DTA) wrote to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Education Minister Manish Sisodia. They put forward their demand to form a governing body in the Delhi government-funded 28 DU colleges.

In charge of DTA. Professor of Hansraj College Suman told that a meeting of the EC or the Apex Committee must be called upon. The names of the members of the governing body can be concluded from the meeting. These names will not be suggested by the government. The association is in favor of an extension of three months to figure out the names.
