On Monday, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition seeking the postponement of JEE Main and NEET 2020 which are scheduled to be held in September 2020. The postponement of the NEET 2020 UG Exam and JEE Mains will put the future of students in peril, said SC. The SC bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra was hearing the plea.
The submission of the Solicitor General that the exams will be held with adequate precautions has been taken into the record by the bench. The career of students cannot be put in jeopardy for long, clarified SC.
Alakh Alok Srivastava had filed the plea on behalf of 11 students belong to 11 states on August 6, 2020. The Court was urged by the petitioners to direct the Center to hold NEET 2020 and JEE Mains examination once normalcy is restored in the country.
The engineering and medical entrance examinations have been scheduled by the National Testing Agency to be conducted in September. The NEET 2020 UG exam will be conducted on September 13 and the JEE Main exam will commence on September 1 and end on September 6, 2020, according to the notice released by NTA on July 3.
The admit card for the JEE Main and NEET 2020 exam is expected to be released by NTA through its official website.
