A petition is filed in the Supreme Court regarding CBSE and CISCE class 12th board exams. Through the petition, the Supreme Court directed the Central Government to cancel class 12th board exams of CBSE and CISCE students.
Earlier, on 14th April the Central Board of Secondary Education took a decision. The board canceled the class 10th exams of the students. Later on 16th April, the CISCE board took the same decision. Both the boards postponed class 12th board exams till further notice.
PETITION OF CBSE AND CISCE BOARD CLASS 12TH BOARD EXAMS
Mamta Sharma filed this petition of canceling the exams of the students. It includes all the notifications of the CBSE and CISCE board on 14th, 16th, and 19th April. She included only those sections that relate to the postponement of class 12th exams. So, the Supreme Court directed Mamta Sharma to formulate an objective methodology.
METHODOLOGY OF CBSE AND CISCE BOARD
Through this methodology, the board could disclose the results soon. The petition for CBSE and CISCE board class 12th students includes a statement. It reads that step arbitrary, inhumane instructions are issued to class 12th students. Through these instructions, their exams are postponed for a definite period.
In the petition, it is written that due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and unprecedented situation running in the country, it is not possible to conduct CBSE board exams.

The board would not be able to conduct exams either in online or offline mode for the coming weeks. This delay of exams would create a situation for the students where they would face certain restrictions to get timely admission into universities.

Delay in results would create a hurdle for the students. Consequently, they won’t get admission for higher studies till the declaration of class 12th results.
