On August 28, 2020, The Supreme Court of India is expected to declare its decision on the University Grants Commission (UGC) case on exam guidelines and final year University examinations tomorrow.

The Supreme Court has not yet announced the actual date for the examinations. However, the Apex Court will announce the decision as soon as possible, as expected.

Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava, while talking about the development, said that there is some delay in the decision but know everything is done. Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava has also highlighted several steps that have been taken. He advised the students to be patient and trust the Supreme Court.

He tweeted that the University Grants Communion matter is not summarized even in tomorrow’s Supplementary Cause List. Therefore, the final decision for last year’s university exams is not likely to pass even tomorrow.

Alok further added that he understands the stress and also advises all the students to take care of themselves. He hopes that the Final Order on the final year exams comes on 28th August.

However, approximately 11 students from all over the nation had filed a petition challenging the UGC, University Grants Commission’s guidelines to execute final year university exams. Analyzing that two petitions that are:

• Yuva Sena filed a petition in the supreme court on behalf of the Maharashtra State’s decision to cancel final year exams.

• Secondly, a law student filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

There were several hearings in this case in court. Final recommendations have been made and a decision is now expected soon.
