Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that a Subramania Bharati Chair in Tamil Studies will be established in Banaras Hindu University (BHU). He also said that the Department of Tamil Studies in the Department of Faculty in BHU will also be added. Students, schools will continue to get inspiration, which was also the dream of Tamil poet Subramania Bharati.

PM Modi made this announcement on the 100th death anniversary of Subramania Bharati. Remembering his legacy and rich source of work, the Prime Minister paid respect to the Tamil poet. He also said that India is the home of the world’s oldest language, Tamil. Proud to be.

PM Modi also took to Twitter to pay tribute to the poet for his rich, noble thoughts and multifaceted contribution to the nation. He remembered Subramania Bharati’s great thoughts on the concepts of women empowerment and social justice.
