On Tuesday, the students of Delhi University put up posters and pictures at the Singhu Border to highlight the plight of farmers across the country and create awareness on a variety of issues.
A student of the Law Faculty at Delhi University, Ravinder Singh (22) said that many issues were ailing the country and the students want to create awareness about them.
He said that they have many issues concerning the women, farmers, and laborers among others. They need to address them all. They were making posters in various languages like English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi so that the people can read and understand what they were talking about.
Students from different universities in the national capital had earlier joined the protesting farmers at the Singhu border by singing songs that highlighted their condition.
A student of the Punjabi Department at the Delhi University, Rajveer Kaur, said that the people were given sheets and colors to make posters in support of the farmers.
She said that many others have also extended their support, apart from the students, and have shown their interest in making posters. These people were welcomed by the students and were given sheets and colors to make the posters.
Sangeeta, another student of Delhi University, said that women farmers face a different set of problems. These women should also participate in the protest and lead from the front.

She said that there were more women at the Tikri border, but they were primarily doing the cooking. They have made posters which highlight the same. The active participation of women should be there in the protest.
Later in the evening, the posters were displayed on a wire tied on a truck.
At various border points of Delhi, thousands of farmers have stayed put in protest against the Center’s new agriculture reform laws.
