Students are demanding to cancel their NEET AND JEE MAINS exams if the ministry is concerned about their health.
The case of COVID-19 is increasing day by day. As the nation was under lockdown since March, there are many things left to be done. There are some exams left for class 10th and 12th students. College students were also not done with their examinations. Although first and second-year students of some universities are promoted on the basis of previous semester results and internal assessment of the current semester, still, final year students are left to appear for exams. Exams of final year students are scheduled in the month of July.

STUDENTS ARE DEMANDING TO POSTPONE ENTRANCE EXAMS
Every year, the JEE and NEET exams are conducted for medical and non-medical students. This year it is being postponed and rescheduled in July due to the nationwide lockdown and the rising cases of coronavirus. The HRD Minister said that student’s health and education are most important. So, students have demanded to postpone the NEET and JEE exam which is supposed to be held in the month of July due to rising COVID-19 cases.

MEETING OF HRD MINISTER WITH OTHER EDUCATION OFFICIALS
Mr. Pokhriyal held a meeting with the secretaries of School Education and Department, Higher Education Department, Chairpersons of AICTE, UGC, CBSE, and director-general of NTA. This was the second review meeting held by the HRD Minister with top education officials to discuss various issues related to education during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Although some issues were discussed and notified to the students, but students are not satisfied with the decisions made and are demanding to postpone or cancel the entrance exams. One of the students said in social media posts that the HRD Minister is worried about the student’s health and education, so he will make the right decision by canceling entrance exams. Another student said that a student’s demands are being ignored by the ministry.

WHO WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HEALTH OF STUDENTS
In view of the concern of the ministry towards students, another student said that if the ministry decides to conduct exams, it will be responsible for student’s health. Mental pressure is developed among students. According to their concern, they should postpone the exams and announce them later. Social distancing is important to maintain in the present scenario. So the foremost concern of students is that is would be risky to travel and come to exam centers as said by a student who is against the conduction of exams. CBSE exams of class 10th and 12th are also scheduled in the month of July. Students have got the date sheet and exams are likely to be conducted from 1 to 15 July.

STUDENTS ARE DEMANDING TO POSTPONE BOARD EXAMS
CBSE students are also urging to cancel or postpone exams due to the rising cases of coronavirus pandemic. Health is the foremost concern of students and parents. So it is risky for the students to come to the exam centers. So, students of CBSE Board are also demanding to postpone their rescheduled exams. There are many campaigns held by students and parents on social media to cancel class 10th and 12th exams. Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia has also suggested the HRD Minister cancel CBSE exams and promote them on the basis of internal assessment.
