SPECIAL DRIVE TO FILL REMAINING SEATS IN DU | CHECK DETAILS

A Special Drive will be conducted by DU to fill the remaining few seats. The Special Drive is for the aspiring applicants who were unable to take admissions in any cut-off even on being eligible. Hence, it is a great opportunity for the aspirants who missed their chance.

Du admissions kick-started on 12th October 2020 in full swing. However, for the academic year 2020, only 5 cut-off lists were expected to release. Hence, owing to the number of applications this decision was made . The 5th cut-off admissions in DU ended on 11th November 2020 as per estimations. Hence, the majority of seats i.e. 67,780 seats in the varsity are occupied already. Hence, the special drive will be conducted on the remaining seats which are very less in number.

DU dean on the Special Drive and its release :

Shobha Bagai, DU dean of admissions said, “The press release notification for the special drive admission will be out in one or two days. The Cut-off will release on 18th November 2020 as mentioned in the Bulletin.” Hence, the special drive will be the last cut-off for admissions.

DU ADMISSION 2020: GUIDELINES FOR SPECIAL CUT-OFF

The Special Drive is a 2-day process. Hence, it will start at 10 a.m. on 18th November and end on 20th November. However, fee payment will continue up till 22nd November.

What is the SPECIAL DRIVE?

The Special Drive is like an additional opportunity for those who missed applying. Hence, if an aspiring applicant had eligibility percentile in the preceding cut-offs but missed to take admissions will be considered eligible now. However, the admission depends on the vacancy of seats in different colleges and for different categories.

APPROXIMATELY 68,000 UNDERGRADUATE SEATS FILLED IN DU

Hence, these drives are mostly for reserved students who were incapable of taking admission into their respective categories due to any reason. Therefore, applicants who have rectified their category certificate shall now be considered for admission in the respective categories.
