School of Open Learning, Delhi University is going to begin the registration process for the SOL admissions 2020 soon. Delhi University’s SOL which offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in distance learning is likely to commence its admission process in the second week of August. The last date for registration of DU admission 2020 for regular colleges has been extended to 31st July. So it is being inferred that the university will start the registration for SOL at the beginning of August. DU’s School of Open Learning (SOL) offers BA (prog), BA (Hons), B.Com (prog), and B.Com (Hons) at the undergraduate level. Complying in mind the ongoing coronavirus situation, the admissions for SOL are likely to take place online.

SOL Admissions 2020

A Delhi University official during a live session made it clear that SOL admissions 2020 is yet to begin. He indicated that the registration process may start within 15 to 20 days.  He added that SOL generally commences it’s admission process when the registration process of regular DU colleges ends. Every year SOL admissions starts usually when the second cutoff list is released.

Important Key Points Related to SOL Admissions 2020

  • The University of Delhi’s School of Open Learning (SOL) has been ranked among the top 20 universities by MHRD. SOL offers very few undergraduate courses like BA (prog), BA (Hons), B.Com (prog), and B.Com (honors). It further offers postgraduate courses including MA (History/Political Science/Hindi) and M.Com.
  • SOL admissions 2020 is likely to commence from the first or second week of August. It will happen only when the registration process for DU admission 2020 will end. The registration process of DU admission 2020 has extended till 31st July.
  • All the admission related information is posted on the SOL official website. The admission prospectus for SOL admissions 2020 will be published on the website well in advance.
  • At present, the SOL department is busy evaluating the results of intermediate students on the basis of previous records. As per the UGC guidelines, SOL has posted for proving students on the basis of assignments. The assignment based evaluation has been adopted by SOL only for undergraduate CBCS semester and annual intermediate students. The decision has been taken with respect to the UGC’s guidelines and the promotion is granted to only intermediate students.
