The new wave of coronavirus has come due to a rise in the number of cases. The situation is worsening in the country. So, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal requested the authorities to cancel class board exams 2021.

He said that examination centers could emerge as major hotspots. So, conduction of exams may lead to the large-scale spread of coronavirus.

Around six lakh students in the National capital would appear for board 2021. On the other hand, around 1 lakh teachers would be a part of it as invigilators. Delhi CM said that students lives and health is most important.

. Delhi CM further said that the authorities can look for some other alternatives as well. They can either conduct online exams or promote students based on internal assessment.

DECISION OF CONGRESS PARTY REGARDING BOARD EXAMS 2021

The leader of the Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi tweeted that due to the second wave of coronavirus, the authorities must reconsider this decision of taking board exams. They must consult all the stakeholders before making sweeping decisions.

STUDENTS APPROACH SUPREME COURT DEMANDING POSTPONEMENT OF CBSE BOARD EXAMS

He asked that on how many counts does the Government of India intends to play with the future of India’s youth.

The General Secretary of Congress Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote to the Education Minister to consider this matter. She said that he must agree with the demands of the students to cancel board 2021.

SCHEDULE OF BOARD EXAMS

Board exams 2021 for class 10 students would begin on May 4 and June 7. For class 12 students, it would begin on 4th May and continue till 15th June.
