Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis is a full-time course offered by the University of Delhi. The course is covered in a span of three years. It will have six semesters i.e. semester I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. In these six semesters, 24 papers will be taught to the students.
There will be a computer practical from Semester I to Semester V. Apart from it, a project needs to submit in the last semester i.e. Semester 6.
The candidates need to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance test of the Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis. They need to pass the 12th standard of CBSE or any other equivalent exam recognized by the Delhi University. The ones who fulfill the criteria can give the entrance exam for the BFIA. The University updates the criteria from time to time.
The course is available in only the English language. Students must consider this factor before applying. The selected students of the course Bachelors of Financial and Investment Analysis will be taught through lectures, Case Studies, Seminars, Business Games, Seminars, and Project work.
The Placement cell of the colleges affiliated to the Delhi University will ensure that the students have taken summer training for a duration of 6 to 8 weeks during the summer vacations of semester IV of the course.
The computer practical exam conducted from semester 1 to 5 will be of 50 marks. 25 marks will be based on the performance and tests all through the year and the other 25 will be evaluated by an external examiner at the end of the semester.
The entrance test for admission in the course Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis is Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU JAT). It’s a national level examination for programs like BFIA and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and BA (Hons) in Business Economics. The test offers admission to 16 colleges affiliated with the University.
The weightage of the qualifying exam is 35 % and the entrance test is 65 %.
The National Testing Agency is outsourced to conduct the examination. The questions are from a wide area of subjects like Reasoning and Analytical Ability, Quantitative Ability, Business, General English, and General Awareness. The paper will be conducted on the online mode for a duration of 2 hours. The MCQ format is adopted by the University.
While filling the entrance exam form for admission in Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis, the students have to select the order of college preference. The University of Delhi will release the merit list to declare the name of selected candidates. To confirm their seat in the entrance exam the aspirants need to pay an amount as fees. Its Rs 750 for the General category and 300 for SC/ST/PWD.
