Some schools in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur began to provide physical education to the students. But it shut down again as per the orders of MHA.
The coronavirus outbreak led to the disclosure of schools, universities, and other educational institutions. But, the state government permitted schools in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur to reopen. Around 167 schools in Gadchiroli and 50 schools in Chandrapur have reopened from the first week of July. The state education department issued guidelines for reopening for schools on June 15. In view of all those guidelines issued, schools in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur began its operations for class 9th, 10th, and 12th.

MHA has already declared that all schools around the country shall remain closed till July 31. That’s why all the schools reopened in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur shut down again. The guidelines issued by the State Government stated that in those districts where it is safe for students to come and there are no COVID-19 cases for at least a month can allow schools to reopen. Reports mentioned that some schools were already reopened. Schools in Wardha was about to reopen this week.
CORONAVIRUS CASES ARE INCREASING IN GADCHIROLI
The education officer said that they declared for schools to shut down when the collector told us to comply with the MHA. COVID-19 cases in Gadchiroli are also increasing after CRPF men were found to be positive. Online education is not possible in Gadchiroli. They do not have proper access to internet connection. That is why teachers in Gadchiroli go to villages and teach students in open places.
TEACHERS ARE GOING TO VILLAGES TO PROVIDE EDUCATION
As physical education is shut down in schools, teachers are now going to villages. Karmavir Vidyalaya is sending teachers to four villages mainly Bori, Galka, Wadgaon, and Pawni. The school administration is sending teachers in each village for the last 8 days. Head Master Balu Bhoyar said that students and parents are also interested in classes being held. It’s important to educate students and impart knowledge to them and especially when there are no coronavirus cases in that area. Wardha education officer said this to the school education officer after to bring MHA to the collector. He asked this when schools are declared to be shut down till July 31.
SCHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE WILL BE FORMED
Some teachers live in a containment zone. Lockdown has been imposed in some Talukas. The state and district level school advisory committee will be formed as stated by the government. This will ensure implementation of natural disaster management guidelines. State committee will frame plans for State disaster management and district committee will frame district level perspective plans. They will train teachers and conduct mock drills.
