Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that a scholarship of Rs 5000 will be awarded to the meritorious class 9 students. And those students who are studying in class 8 will also be eligible to apply for the scholarship. A minimum of 60% marks are needed for the general category students whereas for the SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 55% is required to participate in the scholarships.

EMPHASIS ON SCIENCE EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS

To motivate skillful students is the aim of the Aam Aadmi Party Government. Chief Minister Kejriwal said that these students who will go on to become scientists, engineers, and architects, etc. are the bright future of our country and they are going to make the country proud.
Exposure would be given to the secondary school students about science and technology to uplift their knowledge in the field of science.

DELHI SCHOOLS TO BE DIGITIZED

As per the government’s plans, the education department will be fully digitized. A procurement of nearly 1,200 computers, UPSs for all schools, branch offices, and district offices, and multi-functional printers has been approved by the state government.
Extra time spared by saving time in official work by going digital can be utilized in teaching children, said deputy CM Sisodiya.
