An initiative by Delhi Government to help students:
Deputy CM, Manish Sisodia, highlights that the Delhi government had launched the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum 2 years ago. Hence, this curriculum aims for students to leave schools as job providers rather than job seekers. But, this is only possible with proper business skills.
In the conference, Sisodia explained that the curriculum has made a huge difference in 2 years. Thus, one child started with a small mask-making business and another started to teach yoga. A girl named Kajal is just a 12th pass student and has created her own accounting company. Thus, she has around 20 people working under her and a turnover of 15 lakhs.
The Seed Money Project by Delhi Government:
The Seed Money Project is a part of this 2-year-old curriculum started by the Government before. It was earlier started as a Pilot Project on a school in Khichdipur. Thus, thousand rupees were given to the school children so that they start their own businesses. Hence, a total of 41 children from that school started seed money investment by making 9 groups. Now, all of them are running actively in profit.
Thus, the Delhi government plans of giving an amount of 2000 to its students. The distribution will start on Tuesday, 7th September 2020.
