REVISED COVID-19 GUIDELINES

A new set of revised covid-19 guidelines has been released by Delhi University on 3rd April 2021. Owing to the rising number of cases, a stricter set of revised covid-19 guidelines along with certain precautionary steps has been implemented. Hence, all offline activities will remain suspended till April 13.

Hence, the Delhi University students are asked to stay in their respective homes and hostels. They are also guided to avoid any physical presence at their respective institutions.

Here are all the revised covid-19 guidelines:

As per the official Delhi University notice circulated on April 3, students are advised to stay in their homes and hostels. The circular clearly mentions that all offline activities will remain suspended till 13th April 2021. Academic work at libraries, laboratories, and other places has to be avoided. However, extremely essential work will continue with strict and proper covid-19 precautions. Hence, this includes thermal screening at the gates of the institutions with valid identity proofs. Also, the visiting students will have to specify their purpose of visit to the University campus, library, or laboratory.

Social distancing, and wearing masks are mandatory for everyone. Also, there is a strict prohibition on spitting in any public place. Entry will be restricted at the Faculty of Arts, Hostels, and Science. Hence, no outsider will be permitted inside.

The necessity of the revised Covid-19 guidelines  after the St Stephens cases:

13 students and 2 faculty members from St Stephens did get infected with covid-19 on Friday, 2nd April 2021. Hence, revised covid-19 guidelines are issued for those students. They are quarantined in one section of the hotel and entry is prohibited.

DUTA MIGHT REINITIATE ITS STRIKE FROM APRIL 12

The Delhi University has also canceled all the bookings of conference centers and seminar halls for any function. Hence, this will remain the same until further notice. The situation will be analyzed and reviewed every 10 days. Hence, decisions and revised covid-19 guidelines will be made accordingly.
