CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS ARE GOING to IMPOSE ON PEOPLE VISITING HISTORICAL MONUMENTS

On Thursday, the Union culture ministry gave its permission to reopen the historical monuments, places of worship, and heritage sites monitored by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) from July 6. Along with his approval, he includes mandatory use of the Aarogya Setu app by visitors. Aarogya Setu is a contact-tracing mobile application. He also recommends a separate exit and entry doors for visitors.

Prahlad Patel, Union culture minister tweeted that from the 6th of July, It has been agreed that all the historical monuments can be opened with full security.

The culture ministry, officials said that the consultation with ASI was taken before they take the decision to open these historical monuments outside containment zones. An official said that they will obey all the guidelines laid down by the health and home ministries. He added that people will have to compulsorily wear masks and use sanitizers from time to time. There will be separate paths for exit and entry.

Before visitors are allowed entry, there will be thermal scanning at the entry gate and the status of the visitor will be checked on the Aarogya Setu app for the safety purpose, an official said. The phone numbers of visitors will also be collected by ASI in case contact-tracing needs to be done.

The official said there will be stunned entry and at a given time a cap on the number of people who can be present in the monument will be imposed. E-ticketing offices will likewise be sloped to guarantee smooth and simple access. They need to consider that the economy must be opened up, gradually.

As per slot, the government will govern the number of visitors inside the moments such as 2500 visitors are allowed in the Taj Mahal whereas 1,500 visitors are allowed in the Qutub Minar. Moreover, in order to ensure social distancing, all the visitors have to stick to a time limit.

The culture ministry on June 8, permitted the opening of 820 historical monuments including the Taj Mahal. However, the administration of Agra in view of the rising number of cases in the city decided against opening the monument. Additionally, the Nizamuddin Dargah too got endorsement in those days, yet the Dargah organization chose not to open the site.
