Delhi government has decided to resume physical classes in schools and colleges starting tomorrow. Thus, the hopes of DU students are heightened. But, the DU administration has made it clear that they will hold meetings and decide on this matter soon.

Several Delhi University students have taken their disappointment to social media platforms like Twitter. Also, many students have complained about the disruption in education caused by pandemic-induced online classes. The University of Delhi is closed ever since March 2020. Hence, it has been more than a year since students are sitting at their homes and attending online classes.

The administration explains that they will have an executive council meeting today, i.e. 31st August 2021. But, they also clarified that they won’t be opening on September 1 like other Delhi colleges. Thus, Vikas Gupta, the registrar cleared that they will reopen for the science students at first. Hence, a phased reopening of DU will undergo.
A Statement of Procedure (SOP) was also released by the Delhi government on Monday. Hence, it said that all the necessary protocols need to be followed.
