Delhi University is likely to start the DU SOL admission process by the end of this month or the first week of September. In contrast to this, the registration process for Delhi University UG admission will end by 31st August 2021.

The School of Open Learning (SOL) administration is waiting for the permission of the distance education board (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Additionally, all arrangements have been done, said Dr Uma Shankar Pandey, the Principal of DU SOL.

ONE MONTH FOR SOL REGISTRATION 

Once the UGC will grant the permission, approximately 30 days will be provided to students for the registration procedure. Moreover, those students who transact late fees may have to face monetary penalties.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DU SOL ADMISSION

Eligibility criteria are little distinct for honors and other UG courses. So, be careful while filling the application form.

For courses such as B.A, B.Com the aspiring students should have passed their class 12th with at least 40 percent in total.

If students want to take B.com honors, they should have passed with 60 percent marks in total. Further, if students want to go for B.A. English honors, they must score more than 75 percent in English.

COVID-19 AFFECTS DU SOL  ADMISSION 

For the last two years, covid-19 has not only affected the economy but also education. The admission numbers have decreased in every college and university. Similarly, admissions in DU SOL 2020 was 30% less as compared to 2019-20 admissions. 

DU ADMISSIONS: COLLEGE SEATS LIKELY TO INCREASE

According to reports, only 99 thousand admissions were done in the five most chosen subjects B.A(Hons), B.com(Hons), B.A. English(Hons), B.A, B.A polytechnical Science(Hons) in 2020-2021 session.

This year the pandemic situation is quite good. Hence, there are chances of receiving more enrollments.
