In a live interview with Rstv, Dr. Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank solves some queries regarding schools and colleges. In his live interview, he answers the queries regarding placements, student safety, schools, and college fees, and online classes.

How will they take care of the safety of the students and maintain social distancing?

According to the guidelines of the ministry of home affairs schools and colleges will remain close till 31st July. Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank replies that there is no fixed date to reopen the schools and colleges The school will reopen with the mutual decision of state government and health ministers. as per till now the new admission will take place in the month of August and the new batch is expected to start from September.

Schools Are Asking For Admission Fees

Parents are complaining that no study is taking place during the lockdown then why should they pay the fees, even teachers are complaining that they are not getting their payments, Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank replies that these problems should be solved by the state government only.

Role Of Online Classes In This Pandemic

The only method of teaching left during this pandemic was online classes no one knows that this could happen the pandemic was unpredictable due to there safety they have to stay home. Students and. Teachers will corporate with each other.

Some students don’t have proper internet access for them Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank replies that they are deciding to play online lectures on tv and even in radio if needed. Students can easily watch each and every lecture there and study properly. They wish each and every student can get online lectures so that they can study even in this pandemic. There will be a total of 32 channels which will work 24 hours.

CURRICULUM OF DELHI GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS TO GO ONLINE

Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank added that they are also working on Dikhsha Portal in which all the notes/video lectures will be added by different teachers in their own language so that students can understand and learn well. Schools and Teachers are doing a lot of hard work to make this successful. Many video lectures are already available on this portal and more to add.

Students Are Demanding To Reduce Their Syllabus

Rajesh Pokhriyal Nishank explained that they are thinking to do so. Moreover, The HRD Ministry indicated in a statement that the new NCF for School Education has been started. In accordance with the new NCF, the textbooks will be expected to change by NCERT. The syllabus will be examined by the subject experts for school education and the interim report are expected to be submitted by December 2020. The final and new National Curriculum Framework (NCF) will be prepared by March 2021.

The Ministry has directed the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) that while redesigning textbooks, it is to be ensured that nothing but the core content is placed in them.
