Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Minister is going to have a meeting with all state education secretaries. The meeting is going to be held on Monday, 17 May. The Union Minister will examine the current circumstances of COVID-19 in the states, implementation of the NEP, and online education. The news agency ANI has given this news through a tweet.

All the schools have been closed because of increasing corona infection cases in the country. Online education has also been restricted in some states, while the summer holiday has been announced in some states. In such a situation, Ramesh Pokhriyal is now going to discuss the existing conditions of online education and corona with the education secretaries of all states.

By May 15, a 30 percent national education policy was to be implemented, by May, the universities had to make up to 30 percent change as per the National Education Policy 2020. Therefore Ramesh Pokhriyal is also going to talk about the implementation of NEP 2020 in this review meeting.

In the virtual meeting, the minister will also examine the promotion of online education and implementation of the NEP.

They further added that after COVID -19 2nd wave, this is the 1st virtual meeting of the Union Education Minister with the state education secretaries.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Minister will talk to all state education secretaries virtually. The main focus of the meeting will be the promotion of online education, implementation of the New Education policy, the COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on education, and preparation made by states.

As per the sources, the Union Minister will also evaluate the preparation made by the state education departments to survive with the COVID-19 and how students can continue their online education despite the epidemic.

In the wake of the 2nd wave of COVID-19, the Union Education Ministry has canceled the CBSE Class 10 board exam and delayed the CBSE board exam of Class 12.

The ministry has also postponed all examinations of higher education planned in May.
