Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the centennial day celebration of the Lucknow University. He said that the NEP will be implemented to the core of our education system by the 75th Independence Day. The National Education Policy aims to introduce landmark reforms in our education system.

He said that he encourages discussions, debates, and dialogue on the NEP among teachers and the students. All will collectively work towards the successful implementation of the National Education Policy.

He further asked the authorities to set goals till 2047 to work with an aim in mind. It will have dedicated goals and the aims the country needs to achieve by that time.

In the celebration apart from the NEP announcement, he said that the Lucknow University must include courses on the regional products. Like chikankaari which is a part of the local culture and products. The city is known for its intricate chikankaari kurtas. Prime Minister Modi said that the students of the University may be taught the branding, management strategies, and the marketing of the local products. Further, they can introduce technological inventions in local products.

This will contribute not only to the development of the university but also the national development.

PM highlighted the fact that the biggest problem is that we don’t utilize our potential. By asking the university students to intervene, the local vendors will realize can be pushed to their maximum potential. Higher universities are the powerhouse which set higher goals and aspirations. The students and community realize their full potential and move towards their aim.

At the event at the University of Lucknow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the University’s centennial commemorative coin. Also, a special commemorative postal stamp was issued by the Indian Post at the celebration.

When the national Education Policy NEP will be implemented it will replace the 34-year-old education policy. It aims to change the education system of our country. This will include training the teachers, reforms in schools to higher levels, employment scenarios in the country, etc. The policy has been discussed from all angles by various experts and stakeholders.
