The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna which is often termed as PM Kisan Yojna is a scheme operated by the government through which small and borderline farmers will get monetary support of Rs 6,000 per year. The 75,000 crore initiative of the government is expected to help 125 million farmers irrespective of their land size in India.
CSC centers in India are responsible for the registration of the farmers under the scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, all the farmers are provided with income support of Rs 6000 every year across the nation. The financial aid is received in three installments of Rs 2,000 each after every four months. The amount of Rs 2,000 is directly credited to the farmer’s account or the farmer’s family account.
During the lockdown period in 2020, the government of India distributed around Rs1 lakh crore to the farmers registered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna came into effect from the year 2018. The scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi and came into effect from 1st. December 2018. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana scheme comes under the initiative taken by the central government of India. During the lockdown period, PM Narendra Modi announced the distribution of Rs 1 lakh crore to the farmers who have registered under the PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana scheme so that no farmer suffers due to lockdown.

The government of India on 1st June 2019 made few significant changes in the PM Kisan Yojna scheme. The major changes were made in the eligibility criteria and requirements of the PM Kisan scheme. Accordingly, farmers who are willing to apply for the PM Kisan Yojna scheme are advised to go through the amended eligibility criteria before applying.

-Farmers who have a landholding that could be cultivated registered in their name can apply for the scheme. There is no limit for the farmers to have cultivated and of 2 hectares. However, the foundations of the scheme have now been extended.
-Before the small and medium farmers were also eligible for seeking the benefit of the PM Kisan scheme after the release of revised eligibility criteria will nig get any benefit.
-All the farmers from rural and urban areas are eligible to apply for the PM Kisan scheme.
-Farmers who hold higher economic status are not eligible to apply for the scheme. The PM Kisan gov has therefore issued a list of all the beneficiaries who are not eligible for this scheme.
Farmers who hold a cultivable land in their name or their family’s name are eligible to apply for this scheme.
Framers living in urban and rural areas can apply for the PM Kisan Nidhi.
Small and middle-class framer families can register for this scheme.
Farmers who wish to apply for this scheme must keep all the documents and details ready with them. If they are applying for the scheme through CSC center they must ensure that take away all the required documents with them.
The list of all the details to be entered in the form and important documents required are mentioned below:
Name of the farmer, Gender, Age, and Category (Sc/ST)
Aadhar Card/Aadhaar Number (excluding the farmers from the state of Meghalaya, Assam, and UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Laddakh). Farmers who belong to the above-mentioned states can apply through their voter cards, NREGA job card, driving license, or any other identity card/ document issued by state/UT/central government or any such competent authority for the sole purpose of identification and verification.
To submit the details of the bank account, and IFSC code farmers are required to bring their bank passbook.
Providing a nickel number is not mandatory but farmers are advised to provide it to stay updated with every information or detail related to PM yojana scheme. These messages include changes and revisions are informed through mobile messages.
Farmers are required to have their landholding documents, citizenship certificates, Aadhar card, and bank account details to apply for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Once the registration is done the candidates can check out the beneficiary list simply by following the below-mentioned steps:

Check out the Farmer’s corner tab on the available on the homepage and then click on option showing beneficiary list.
Enter all the required information and click on the tab showing “get data”.
As soon as you click on the get data tab, the beneficiary status and data of the farmer will come up on the screen.
Any farmer who wishes to register himself under the scheme can either approach revenue officer / local patwari / nodal officer appointed by their state government or can apply online. However, the CSC’s are also authorized to register the farmers under the fruits PM Kisan yojana on payment of requisite fees. A farmer can also register himself online by visiting the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi or PM Kisan Portal and registering under the farmers’ corner.

The foremost objective of the fruits PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana i is to improve the income of small and marginal farmers of India. The Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi is launched by the central government to provide financial aid to farmers.
The fruits PM Kisan Samman Nidhi aims at providing financial assistance to small farmers and helps them in acquiring various equipment and inputs for farming to enhance and bring development in the agriculture sector of India.
The scheme will further assist the farmers and not let them fall under the hands of moneylenders for lending money to continue their agriculture activities.
A farmer can either apply and register themselves by visiting the online PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana or PM Kisan portal of PM Kisan and filling the details in the farmers’ corner. Or farmers can also visit their nearby Common service center for registration under the scheme.
The list of beneficiaries contains the names of registered farmers is valid in all the states or UTs in India. The list is valid only for one year.
The scheme contains no differential points for urban and rural cultivable agricultural land. Both rural and urban lands come under the PM Kisan yojana, however, the land in the urban areas should be under cultivation.
Recently in the year 2020, the government of India has provided relaxation on the compulsion of the Aadhar card. However, Aadhar card is not mandatory for the farmers residing in Meghalaya, Assam, Jammu & Kashmir, and Laddakh.
The benefit of the scheme will get directly transferred to the bank account of the farmer in three different installments every year.
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, all the registered farmers will receive Rs 6000 every year in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each. The installments of Rs 2000 each will be credited in farmers’ account after every four months.
If a person fills in an incorrect declaration for seeking the benefit under the scheme, he/she will be liable to pay back all the amount received. Also, he may be subject subjected under a panel action as per the law.
The beneficiary list containing all the names of registered farmers will be displayed in the Panchayat’s office/area. Apart from this, the beneficiary will receive a message on the registered mobile number once they get sanctioned under the scheme.
