Delhi University affiliated PGDAV College has taken certain initiatives to assist the covid-19 hit students and provide them relief. Thus, students who have lost their earning member of the family due to covid-19 will get their fees waived off. Also, PGDAV College is going to conduct a drive wherein they will distribute free laptops to students.

Statement of the principal of PGDAV College:

Ravindra Kumar Gupta, the principal of PGDAV College is glad to take such initiatives of helping students. The covid-19 pandemic has been hard for everyone. Lots of people have battled the infection and lots of students have lost their family members. Thus, innumerable happy lives got barred when families lost their breadwinners leaving the rest in an unprecedented financial crisis.

As per reports, 15 students at PGDAV College are suffering as the earning member of their families died due to covid. Thus, the principal, Ravindra Gupta decided to waive off the fees of such students. Hence, the college will bear the cost of fees of those students at the university level. Also, such covid-hit students will get free books throughout the semester along with free stationery items and free bus pass facilities after reopening.

Donation drive by PGDAV College:

The college formed a special task force to identify such covid-hit students and assist them. Thus, this task force has initiated a donation drive within the college’s various active committees. So, they will collect donations and give the amount to the covid-hot students. All the teaching, as well as non-teaching staff, are welcome to donate. The convener of the task force, Mr. Basuki Nath Chaudhary considers this initiative as a noble cause. He even hopes that other DU colleges take such initiatives.
