Delhi University has started with the Entrance examination for the different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The candidates who qualify the entrance examination will be admitted to the different colleges of the university. This year the University of Delhi has appointed the National Testing Agency to conduct the Delhi University Entrance Test. The entrance test is being conducted in the online mode in three shifts each day.

Candidates appearing for the entrance examination is required to carry the DUET 2019 admit card which is available on the official website for download. It is mandatory that the candidates carry the admit card with them to the examination centre.

As per reports, on the first day of DUET 2019 52350 candidates appeared for the examination. In the first shift, 16547 candidates appeared for the examination while the second and third shift saw 8097 and 12356 candidates respectively.

The NTA has released a press release which contains the detailed break down of the number of candidates appearing on each day of DUET 2019. The details contain the number of candidates as per the shifts and the gender wise data. Apart from this the press release also contains the data with respect to the category of the candidates appearing for the examination.

81307 candidates will be appearing for the undergraduate admission tests while 128699 students will be appearing for the postgraduate entrance exam. The M.Phil and Ph.D. programme entrance exam will see close to 12355 candidates.

This year close tom1929 candidates belonging to the PwD/Special Category have applied for the entrance examination. DUET is being conducted in 18 cities in the country. The examination is being conducted based on the syllabus prescribed by the university.

Delhi University will be conducting the entrance examination until July 8, 2019.
