Out of the Box Thinking

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is all set to add ‘Out of the Box Thinking’ to a mathematics course. The course offering mode will be online.  Moreover, the registration process for the course will close by 24 June 2022.

The course will concentrate on teaching multiple interesting methods for problem-solving. Additionally, anyone from the country or even from a foreign country can enrol on this course.

‘Out of Box Thinking’ first batch will start on 1 July

According to the IIT, the first batch will begin on 1 July. And, the registration last date is 24 June. So, students can register themselves before the deadline. Here is the link for registration: pravartak.org.in

The courses which are offered by IIT Madras online are free of cost. Further, Pravartak Technologies Foundation, sec 8 company of IIT Madras will provide the grade certificates for students who will sit in the examination. The examination fee is very nominal. To clarify, final exams will be in proctored mode. And, they will conduct in various centres across the country.

As per the institute, through these courses, the Institute targets millions of school and college students. Also, researchers and working professionals. In addition, courses which are four graded independent levels are easy to access by every learner.

The director at IIT Madras named Prof. V. Kamakoti asserted the requirement of these courses. He said these courses will positively affect India. And, the outcomes will be visible in the coming years. Moreover, the courses are free of cost so they will be more beneficial for rural or underprivileged classes of India. Including school or college students.

Furthermore, Prof. V. Kamakoti explains the pros of ‘Out of the Box Thinking’. He explained, “This mathematical course will encourage creative approaches to solving problems. And, thinking is developed via known and unknown mathematical facts with an interesting perception of doing it.”

“The initiative will introduce multiple approaches to problem-solving. Also, it will clear the myth that problem-solving can be done with a selected approach. Also, it will present new techniques with understandable manners. Consequently, prepares students to face real-life projects easily”

Who will teach the course?

Founder director of Aryabhatta Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Mathematics Educator, Sadogopan Rajesh will teach the course. He has 30 years of experience teaching mathematics to school and college students. Moreover, he conducts nurturing programs for a range of students both primary and high school students. This incorporates a love for problem-solving among the learners. Subsequently, give rise to participation in Mathematical and other subjective Olympiad.

Furthermore, Sadagopan explained about the program, “Approaching mathematics not in a traditional way but with passion and discipline and with a realization of being more analytical reasoning will lead to broadening the capacity of thinking.
