Olympics 2048

Delhi government attempts to organize the Olympics 2048 on the mark of India’s 100th Independence Day. Hence, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia said pledged to make an attempt on Tuesday, 9th March 2020.

India has already tried twice in the past to hold the Olympics. However, it is the third time, another attempt will be made. Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia holds the finance portfolio. Hence, he presented the idea while presenting the Delhi Budget.

Deputy CM’s idea about the Olympics 2048:

Sisodia said that the next Olympic games i.e. the 32nd will be held in Tokyo. Also, the next three host cities for the games have already been decided. Hence, the 39th game will be held in 2048. The government has an objective to bring sports facilities and competitions to such levels through a new sports University. Hence, all this will enable them to apply to host the Olympics 2048.

CM Kejriwal also mentioned that a vision to hold Olympics 2048 has been provided in the budget. Also, he said that the Delhi government will implement the necessary infrastructure developments.

The bidding process for Olympics 2048:

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has been currently working on finalizing the venue for Olympics 2032. Hence, the 2048 game will only be talked about after the selection of the venue for the 2036, 2040, and 2044 games.

However, the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s vice president says that the candidate cities have already been parked for future games.

The long term plan for Olympics 2048:

27 years are remaining for the 2048 game. Hence, Sisodia says that 15 years will be dedicated to adequate infrastructure development. Hence, candidates and players will be trained to a level that they bring medals leading to Olympics 2048.
